President Donald Trump, who has been caught sleeping several times on camera throughout his second Presidential term, made a wild claim that he “doesn’t sleep much.” The Internet never forgets, and it decided to take Trump down the memory lane with posts and memes.
During his press briefing at the Oval Office, talking about Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Trump said, “He does not sleep much, and I don’t sleep much. I think we have the same schedules. We’re thinking about our countries… We just had a president who slept more than any president. He broke every record.”

Meanwhile, on social media platform X, users slammed Trump for his statement. “So are we supposed to clap for insomnia now,” asked a netizen. “Trump bragging about not sleeping just shows the problem. Being awake all night is not the same as leading. If anything, it explains the chaos we saw in his administration. A leader delivers results, not excuses about how many hours he stayed up,” read another one.
The Internet was quick to remind Trump of his nap videos, which have famously fetched him the moniker of “Dozy Don” in the meme-world. “Mmm…Donald sleeps plenty lately, it seems,” an X user wrote.
Another one wrote, “He says he doesn’t sleep, but the camera caught him taking power naps like it was his job.” Another user reminded Trump of a rather recent episode. “You literally fell asleep in the Oval Office last week,” he wrote. Another one flagged, “Trump regularly sleeps during meetings. Don’t lie to the American people.”
Needless to say, Trump’s comment did not go down well with the Internet users. “I guess Trump hasn’t seen all the videos of him dozing off at every kind of meeting/function. Or he’s clueless. Probably that,” read another comment.
Trump’s big claim came as a surprise to a section of the Internet, as it was only last week that the US President struggled to stay awake during Melania Trump’s ‘Fostering the Future’ initiative. The clip of Trump napping at the event went insanely viral.
BREAKING: Melania Trump is PROVING why she is the BEST FLOTUS in American history!
Not a SINGLE OTHER FLOTUS has put this much effort into helping the American youth.

In September this year, during his state visit to the UK, Trump appeared to have fallen asleep during King Charles’ 9-minute speech at Windsor Castle. The same month, President Trump appeared to have drifted for a bit during his press briefing session with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump was also seen sleeping during the memorial service for the late 31-year-old conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona, for which he was massively trolled.
CNN’s chief White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins, in a recent podcast, revealed that Trump “does not sleep.” Talking about Trump’s sleeping habits, she said, “I had this source who said, ‘You never want to be on Air Force One on a trip.’ And I said, ‘Why? You’d think you’d want to be in the axis of power, close to Trump.’ He doesn’t sleep on these trips, and you’re going to Asia or something, and that’s like the only time you’re going to sleep before you go on this trip, but Trump is just always up and talking. He will wake staff up if they’re asleep because he wants to talk to them.”

Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi also commented on Trump’s complicated sleep cycle during a media interaction, saying, “None of us can keep up with him; we always joke. I don’t know how he does it. I mean, none of us know when he sleeps. He’s working all the time, and it’s just constant for him.”
Trump called his low sleep lifestyle a business strategy in his 2004 book, Think Like a Billionaire, writing, “Don’t sleep any more than you have to. I usually sleep about four hours per night. I’m in bed by 1 am and up to read the newspapers at 5 am. That’s all I need, and it gives me a competitive edge.”
