Having Jon Bon Jovi for a dad must be awesome.
For those of you who don’t know, Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie was recently busted on a heroin charge . She allegedly suffered an overdose of the drug at Hamilton College, and charges were later dropped when it was found that she had less than eight ounces of the drug in her possession.
Since heroin is only one of the most dangerous drugs on the market, you can imagine how most parents would react. Disappointment would probably lead the charge on a variety of emotions, and though you can tell that Bon Jovi is at least that, he’s standing by his little girl through the ordeal.
Down-to-earth Bon Jovi said “What I do for a living seems glitzy and glamorous but if you don’t take it too seriously it’s a great way to make a living,” when asked about last week’s incident. “And then life goes on. Things happen.”
“This tragedy was something that I had to face too so we’ll get through it. And people’s warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So we’re good.”
Bon Jovi’s warm and gentlemanly handling of his daughter’s heroin charges caused VH1 ‘s Halle Kiefer to go a big soft one:
“Aaaaaand we are tearing up at a Jon Bon Jovi interview. We know Thanksgiving is going to be super awkward this yeah, Stef, but we think you are in the best possible hands.”
