Katy Perry And John Mayer Getting Married Soon? Rumors Say Yes
Katy Perry and John Mayer are getting married soon. Well, if you believe the tabloids. The pair was spotted at Mayer’s brother’s wedding this weekend and have been spending lots of time together in recent weeks.
According to several sites, including E! Online, Mayer and Perry could head down the aisle before we know it. A source told the site that the pair are “very serious” about each other.
Perry dished on her beau to the site at the MTV Video Music Awards, saying, “I’ve been a fan of John’s for years before I got to actually kiss him. But I’ve been such a fan, I think he’s so incredibly talented and gifted and a genius songwriter.” Strong words of praise from the Roar singer.
The Daily Mail also believes Katy Perry and John Mayer will get married soon. The tabloid notes that Katy apparently fueled the rumors of an engagement by sending a tweet to with her boyfriend a happy birthday. The singer wrote, “Happy birthday cutie!!! @JohnMayer.”
A guest at Mayer’s brother’s wedding also hinted that the couple are pretty close. A fellow guest revealed that Perry was treated like a member of her beau’s family and Mayer snapped a sweet pick of Katy dancing with his dad, Richard.
Mayer and Perry have been dating off and on for 15 months and most recently got back together in July after a three-month break. While the couple appears to be getting pretty serious, they may have a hard time in the coming months. Katy Perry is gearing up for the release of her new album, PRISM, while Mayer is touring Europe to promote his sixth studio album, Paradise Valley.
Despite the distance, Mayer and Perry are apparently staying in touch with each other as much as they can. An insider revealed, “They Skype and text all day. John always checks in before bed!”
While we’re not sure we believe the rumors about Katy Perry and John Mayer getting married, we’re happy to see the Roar singer happy again after her divorce from Russell Brand.
