Oprah Winfrey Contacts Lamar Odom, Offers Help

Oprah Winfrey contacted Lamar Odom and offered to help him overcome his past drug problems.

The mega-star of daytime TV, Oprah Winfrey has been following the divorce details of Khloe Kardashian and her basketball playing husband Lamar Odom more than most. Previously offering her support to the Kardashian sister, Oprah is now attempting to get Lamar Odom to open up in a tell-all interview to show the world once and for all that his drug days are over.

Apparently, the source of the split between Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian was his drug abuse and his alleged past incidents of cheating on her, which of course didn’t sit well with the famous reality show star. Oprah Winfrey may just get her interview with the basketball player if the conditions are right, although Lamar Odom has been said to be uneasy with interviews in general.

No deal has been made yet as a result of Oprah Winfrey contacting Lamar Odom for an interview, but the official word is that he hasn’t said no, and may yet agree.

Lamar Odom was said to have been using cocaine regularly until the start of this month, when rumors started flying of his pending divorce with Khloe Kardashian. Now sober for more than a week, he says he’s ready to put it all behind him and get his old life back, and be the father he needs to be for his kids, Lamar Jr., 11, and Destiny, 15.

If the interview goes ahead, Lamar Odom will reportedly discuss his marriage, his career, and his drug use. The man has a lot on the line, and he wants to return to playing basketball if he can. He is reportedly scheduled to begin talks to re-join his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

If everything goes right, Oprah Winfrey’s contacting of Lamar Odom could result in the interview she is seeking.
