Tea Party leader Larry Klayman has called for “revolution” against the Obama administration during a protest Sunday, as Confederate flags waved in the background.
Klayman heads up Tea Party group Freedom Watch, and he spoke to GOP protesters at the Sunday World War II veterans’ memorial Sunday… urging President Obama to “put the Koran down” and “come out with his hands up.”
At a rally where prominent Republicans Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin appeared and protested, Klayman claimed America is “ruled by a president who bows down to Allah” as “Barrycades” were removed by protesters at the memorial.
Confederate flags were among items proudly waved by protesters at the Tea Party rally, and Klayman inflamed gathered conservatives by urging a rebellion against the President — he said:
“I call upon all of you to wage a second American nonviolent revolution, to use civil disobedience, and to demand that this president leave town, to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come out with his hands up.”
With Sen. Ted Cruz and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in attendance, Klayman incited the crowd with charged words. MSNBC reports that less than a month ago, the mainstream Tea Party organizer wrote a post on the web suggesting President Obama was a “radical Muslim,” and said:
“Millions should stand in front of the White House and other national treasures and demand that Barack Hussein Obama leave… If the Egyptians can do this with regard to another radical Muslim, former president Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, then can’t we Americans do it with Obama?”
Cruz, who has been widely credited with hastening and prolonging the shutdown, said:
“This is the people’s memorial. Let me ask a simple question. Why is the federal government spending money to erect barricades to keep veterans out of this memorial? Our veterans should be above politics. Enough games.”

Display of Confederate flag at WH today doesn't represent all protesters, but why no denunciation by GOP leaders? pic.twitter.com/uPUIKQnu1K

Republicans proudly waved the Confederate flag outside the Black President's home. What next? Burning crosses? pic.twitter.com/xXJUySQoCJ
