Ashley Judd rushed to her ex Dario Franchitti’s side after he ended up in the hospital following a spectacular crash during the Houston Grand Prix.
Franchitti’s car flew through the air and crashed into the barrier on Sunday’s race sending debris into the crowd and injuring 13 spectators who were unable to get away.
The Indianapolis 500 champion was doing well as the pair took to Twitter to keep well wishing fans posted on his condition.
Judd tweeted to her fans, “Thank you for the prayers for @dariofranchitti I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that’s all that we need & we are on our way.”
Franchitti must have been feeling relatively well as he also posted thankful tweets on his account.
As reported by The Inquisitr, the racing star crashed in the last lap of the Houston Grand Prix when he and fellow driver Takuma Sato crashed into each other propelling Franchitti’s car into the air.
Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti were married for about 10 years before they called it quits earlier in 2013.

It is not clear whether Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti are back together or just on friendly terms. The couple is not divorced at this point.
