Chad Kroeger, Avril Lavigne Release Duet ‘Let Me Go’

Well, it was only a matter of time. Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne have released their first duet.

Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback, and Lavigne, the lead singer of, well, Avril Lavigne, got married earlier this year and now they’re making sweet, sweet music together.

USA Today reports that the new song, “Let Me Go,” will appear on Lavigne’s new album. The song will be available on iTunes staring October 15 but don’t worry, you can listen to the track below.

Lavigne writes on Twitter: “Can’t wait for you to hear my new song, Let Me Go feat Chad Kroeger. You can buy it on iTunes on oct 15.”

Lavigne and Kroeger split up vocal duties on the new sing but the join together for the chorus.

The newly married couple sing: “I’m breaking free from these memories, got to let it go, just let it go. I’ve said goodbye, set it all on fire, got to let it go, just let it go.”

The new song will be featured on Lavigne’s new album, her first since 2011, but the duet could point to a new (not really) supergroup. Do you think Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger will release an album together?
