Biker Speaks Out On SUV Attack, Driver’s Wife Also Attacked

Christopher Cruz, the biker that was hit from behind in the New York SUV attack is speaking out for the first time, while new information shows that the driver’s wife was also attacked in the incident.

The attack took place a week from Sunday and has enraged the community because of the brutality of it and the fact that the biker gang targeted a family with a small child in the car.

Cruz, 28, who is seen on the video cutting off and slowing the SUV to cause him to crash into his bike, says that the incident is being portrayed unfairly in the media.

The 28-year-old told ABC News exclusively that he “tries to stay away from trouble as much as possible” and adds that all the attention the SUV attack is getting has “turned his life upside down.”

Cruz has been charged with reckless endangerment.

Overnight information on the case reveals that the wife of the SUV driver Rosalyn Ng, was also attacked, according to a good Samaritan that came to the family’s aid as their car was getting its windows smashed.

The shocking details were shared by Sergio Consuegra, who intervened in the beating of the driver Alexian Lien.

Consuegra told ABC he saw one of the bikers took Lien’s wife “grabbing her by the arms, real hard” until bystanders yelled at him to stop. The images on the video only showed the driver side of the vehicle and there was no way of telling whether the passenger side was also attacked by the gang.

CNN is also reporting that one of the bikers who attacked the SUV driver stomped him on the head. Two bikers involved in the SUV attack were arraigned this weekend and charged with assault.

The family in the SUV attack, was out celebrating the couple’s first wedding anniversary when they were surrounded by the gang of bikers and the ensuing chase took place in a case that has gripped the nation’s attention.
