Wife Of SUV Driver Attacked By Bikers Speaks Out

The wife of the SUV driver attacked by a pack of bikers is speaking out about the ordeal the family went through when they were surrounded and chased down an Upper Manhattan Highway on Sunday.

Rosayln Ng, says her husband, Alexian Lien, feared for her and their 2-year-old child’s safety when they sped away and ran over one of the bikers.

This is the first official statement made by a member of the family, in what has become one of the most talked about cases this week.

The man was beaten up in front of his wife and daughter after the bikers chased the SUV down for four miles. The incident ensued when Lien hit a biker who had cut him off, after being surrounded while driving on the West Side Highway.

The statement was reportedly from the wife of the SUV driver, Rosalyn and was released by the family’s lawyers, according to the New York Daily News.

“Our plan last Sunday was to celebrate our wedding anniversary by having a nice family day out with our two-year-old daughter,” the statement reads. “Unfortunately, instead, we were placed in grave danger by a mob of reckless and violent motorcyclists.

Our sympathies go out to the injured motorcyclist and his family. However, we were faced with a life-threatening situation, and my husband was forced under the circumstances to take the actions that he did in order to protect the lives of our entire family. Our fear for our lives was confirmed when the incident ended with the ruthless and brutal attack on my husband, me, and, most importantly, our two-year-old child. We know in our hearts that we could not have done anything differently, and we believe that anyone faced with this sort of grave danger would have taken the same course of action in order to protect their family.

In the statement the wife of the SUV driver thanks bystanders who came to her family’s aid and prevented further injury to her husband. She also states that they are moved by the outpouring of support in New York and elsewhere around the country.

Bikers held a vigil outside the hospital where one of the members of the gang is staying after he suffered leg and spine injuries in the incident. His wife has said the man will be paralyzed for life.

Another biker, was released after turning himself in, while a second man was charged in the attack.

Rosalyn Ng, wife of SUV driver, Alexian Lien is asking for privacy at this difficult time and requesting that all inquiries be made through the family’s lawyers Nicholas J. Massimo and Frank C. Panetta.
