Snoop Dogg Congratulates Giant Vegetable Grower After He Breaks His Record

Snoop Dogg congratulated a giant vegetable grower, after the man beat the his own world record.

In September, Ian Neale eclipsed his previous growth by just under 10.50lbs, after his vegetable weighed in at an astounding 95.96lb.

However, rather than possessing sour grapes, Dogg, who also goes by the name, Snoop Lion, showered the 70-year-old with praise and even rang up Mr Neale to congratulate him on his achievement.

Mr Neale discussed the phone call from the notorious musician, remarking, “When Snoop Dogg rang me I didn’t say a lot because I was surprised to hear from him. But he congratulated me, it was a bit weird. He told me his own veg was growing very well.”

Snoop and Neale do have previous too. Two years ago, Snoop revealed that he is a huge fan of Neale’s vegetation work. The rapper was especially impressed with Neale’s first ever recording breaking swede, which he grew back in 2011.

Snoop even took to YouTube to praise Neale, recording and then uploading a video which invited him to a concert in Cardiff, which is near Neale’s home of Newport, Wales.

Dogg even boasted that he would give Neale his own advice on growing veg. You can watch the video below:

Snoop Dogg’s video saw him remark, “When I do my show in Cardiff, I want you to come backstage and see me because I do vegetation myself, and I want to know your secret so I can show you my vegetables and see if you can grow that into a real big vegetable.”

Despite receiving Snoop Dogg’s adulation for his 95.96lb swede, Neale has since gone on to break his own world record again. Last weekend, at then Malvern Autumn show, Neale showcased a swede that weighed 119lbs.

He has finished in first place with six other vegetable, and in second place with two others.
