Sofia Vergara Rocks Frock By … KMart?

Sofia Vergara has joined Sarah Silverman in the “masstige” trend — which is now officially a trend because two stars did it.

While Sofia Vergara is likely awash in comped couture, the star also proved that there’s a lot more to looking good than hot labels.

The Modern Family fashionista draped her famous curves not in cutting-edge runway gear for a recent appearance — choosing a Blue Light Special over a custom-tailored cut and still looking amazing.

Of course, not all of us have our very own line at KMart, but Vergara does — and it was a $32.99 colorblock bodycon number she decided to rock for Live With Kelly and Michael yesterday.

Previously, Sofia donned a Vera Wang dress, and “twerked” in the haute couture — she later explained of her twerking tweet:

“I was just dancing and one of my cousins took a picture. She showed me. I wasn’t twerking or anything! When I saw it, I thought, ‘I’m going to tweet that.’ I was just dancing.”

Yahoo contrasted the two looks — one costing millions, and one that clocked in for less than dinner and a movie:

“Vergara wore a custom Vera Wang gown on the red carpet, which we can assume costs more than most people’s entire wardrobes. (After all, in March, Wang came under fire for charging customers at her Shanghai store the rough equivalent of $500 just to try on her signature wedding dresses.) The star then draped herself in $7 million worth of jewels by Lorraine Schwartz… Days later, Vergara stunned once more in a body-conscious, illusion dress from her own clothing line for Kmart that retails for just $32.99. Quite the drop in price, but we think she looks just as lovely!”
