Luke Evans ( Fast And Furious, The Raven ) is one of the most versatile and talented actors to come from across the pond. Did you know he can sing too? And very well?

He is Welsh and also has some serious musical ability. After all, he started his career in theater in London, doing plays such as Rent, Piaf, and La Cava.

After his career took off in 2011, the 31-year-old actor hasn’t stopped making movies, and now studios are really noticing him. He is cast in several movies for next year.

Luke Evans will take on his first major starring role when he revives a classic, Dracula . In a new take on the daddy of all vampires, this is more of a origins movie in which they explore why Prince Vlad sold his soul to become the dark bloodsucking batman.

After that, in a film in which Luke Evans might be allowed to use his musical background, he will star as Eric Draven in The Crow, another dark tale in which he portrays the dead musician who was brutally murdered along with his girlfriend and comes back to avenge their death.

In his most recent role in the blockbuster franchise Fast And Furious 6, Evans played the main villain, a smart, technology savvy, ex-military man who almost destroys the team with his elusive and destructive ways.

But Luke Evans is much more than the next baddie. As many British actors, Luke’s first incursion in acting came in theater, but, unlike most of his colleagues, he did so in musical plays in main roles.

If you’ve never heard him singing, you’ve been missing out. As any Welshman, Luke Evans has a good set of lungs and is known for his karaoke skills during movie shoots.

Watch and listen to Luke Evans’ rendition of Roberta Flack’s “The First Time I Saw Your Face” during a recent event with fellow The Hobbit co-star James Nesbitt at the Lyric Theater.
