Back in the 90s any teenage girl’s dream was to have one date with Joshua Jackson. Since then the Fringe stud has grown up to be quite the looker. In addition he’s also really nice arm candy for German actress Diane Kruger. Although the pair have dated for years, Kruger insists that her first date with Joshua Jackson was a huge disaster. The date went so awful that Kruger almost walked out on the Canadian actor.
If you’re asking yourself, who walks out on Pacey Witter? We have to admit she had a pretty good reason for almost ending it after date one. Diane Kruger explained to Conan O’Brien while promoting her show The Bridge .
Of her disaster date with Jackson, Kruger said to Conan:
“We’re sitting in the bar and I’m ready to leave…and I felt really bad because he looked very eager. He took me to this romantic place. It was overgrown with beautiful flowers, to which I had an allergic reaction to!”
The actress continued in detail about the horrible date with her beau Joshua:
“I was sneezing and coughing, I couldn’t say anything. He talked about himself for an hour and a half non stop.”
Sounds like an awkward first date indeed. These days Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger are usually seen arm and arm at the grocery store, while smiling from ear to ear. It’s easy to see that they’re extremely happy together.
In the past, Diane Kruger has been very open about her relationship to the Dawson’s Creek hunk . Of her relationship with Jackson, Kruger told US Weekly back in August about what she has learned from her maturing relationship.
In the interview Kruger said, “He definitely alerted me to mistakes that he made and hopefully I can avoid.”
Sounds like a solid couple to us!
