Are you ready? Yes folks, Duke Nukem gets a release date!

Any gamer worth their salt, or at least old enough, will know that one of the most anticipated games ever was Duke Nukem Forever. For years we got “… it’s coming. No, really it is” that never amounted to nothing more than becoming the most famous vaporware in the gaming world.

Then came word that The Duke was going to live again thanks to the folks at Gearbox Software, developers of Borderlands, which I reported here. As good as that news was we were left in the dark as to when we would be able to get our grubby little hands on a copy.

Well according to a post over at Techdirt we might just finally have a date for the release of Duke Nukem Forever:

Either way, Peter Suderman noticed that Duke Nukem Forever actually appears to have a release date on Amazon of May 31st of this year.

All I can say if that if this is true there’s gonna be a lot of empty beaches this year and sales of suntan lotion will probably go down.
