Fake Pregnancy Belly Helps Canadian Woman Smuggle Cocaine
A Canadian social worker flying from Colombia was arrested for attempting to smuggle cocaine in a fake pregnancy belly that was meant to make her look pregnant.
Tabitha Leah Ritchie, 28, was arrested at Bogota’s El Dorado Airport after attempting to board an Air Canada flight to Toronto with a fake belly made out of latex attached to her body according to ABC News
Authorities said they found 4.4 pounds of cocaine inside Ritchie’s fake pregnancy belly.
The Telegraph noted that during Ritchie’s police pat down, a customs officer noticed the belly was unusually hard and cold, immediately signaling something wasn’t quite right and prompting extra investigation.

One story included a murdered Newark boy, 14, who was shot and killed, only to find out the boy had a large amount of heroin and weapons inside his room. The report read as follows:
“The incident happened at the Riverview Terrace Housing Complex on Riverview Court, where the boy lived. Police identified the victim as Ali Rajohn Eric Henderson, who was gunned down in the courtyard area…
“No motive has been identified in the shooting, although sources have told Eyewitness News that a large amount of heroin and weapons were found inside the 14 year old victim’s bedroom.”
Then there was also reports of the increase in the use of the drug Molly. The Inquisitr reported that the use of the drug has recently surged in popularity.
“Users say the party drug molly increases energy, empathy, and feelings of euphoria. The high usually lasts around five hours.”
In the case of Tabitha Leah Ritchie and her fake pregnancy belly, video posted online by Colombian National police shows what appears to be Ritchie’s false stomach being removed by officers at the airport.
The officer then removes the false stomach, which appears to be attached via straps around Ritchie’s back, and removes two packages that authorities say contained the cocaine.
ABC News reported that the fake pregnancy belly filled with cocaine was concealed by a tank-top shirt and a long shawl.
