Westboro Baptist Licking Their Wounds After Epic Vince Gill Confrontation [Video]

Westboro Baptist Church is off licking their wounds somewhere after country music superstar Vince Gill took a personal stand against them.

Members of the controversial hate group showed up to protest Gill’s concert in Kansas City Sunday. When he found out, he went down to the street level to confront them personally, and let’s just say he didn’t mince words.

“God hates adultery and violence to marriage covenant. By whorish woman, destruction,” Westboro Baptist tweeted Gill before the event. They are referring to Gill’s 1998 divorce (and 2000 remarriage) to singer Amy Grant.

“I just came to see what hatred really looked like,” Gill said as he approached the picket line. A WBC member approached him and said, “Don’t you know that divorce plus remarriage equals adultery? Jesus Christ said that.”

Gill turned to the member, and said “You know what else he said? He said a lot of stuff, about forgiveness, about grace – you guys don’t have any of that.”

He then turned to another member holding a sign, and said “I’ve seen you on TV, man. You’re a big dips***. You know that, don’t you?”

Gill also wanted to know where the Phelps family were, calling the protesters he saw the “C Team.”

The video captured only shows about a minute of the confrontation, and there doesn’t seem to be anything further. Gill’s representatives told CNN that they have nothing to say on the matter, and Westboro Baptist has decided to move on to their next target: Katy Perry’s “Roar.”
