Beyoncé ‘Diva’ Behavior Criticized At Festival And Coney Island Music Video Shoot [Video]

Beyoncé may have wowed the UK’s V Festival last weekend, but other artists performing at the outdoor event weren’t impressed with star backstage, according to Travis singer Fran Healy.

The “Crazy in Love” singer shared headlining chores at the festival with Kings of Leon, and played two sets. One on Saturday, August 17 and another on Sunday, August 18.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Healy said the mother-of-one and her team’s behavior infuriated the other artists on the bill including his band.

“Beyonce locked down the entire backstage area for an hour. Everyone was affected,”he recalled.

“You’d ask, ‘Can I just go there?,'” Healy continued. “And they’d say, ‘No. You can’t cross this little street’.”

The 40-year-old singer added, “Everyone was just following orders from the gang. I guess that’s how Americans do it but it’s not how we do it in the UK. She was headlining the main stage and was half an hour late. The whole area was cut off as if there had been a nuclear disaster.”

In fact, Beyoncé was booed when she took to the stage for her Sunday show for lateness, but she did manage to turn the crowd’s mood around with a reportedly showstopping concert.

For her part, the singer appears to have been in a generous mood after the gig, laying out almost $2,320 for a huge Nandos order for her Mrs. Carter Show tour crew.

But in a new incident that perhaps echoes Healy’s festival experience, Beyoncé has been accused of reducing a woman to tears at New York’s famous Coney Island amusement park.

The singer was filming her latest music video with photographer Terry Richardson and rode the Coney Island Wonder Wheel as part of the video. After having her make-up applied, the ride — and the filming — began, and took around 30 minutes for that particular segment.

Unfortunately, a woman and her partner were still on the ride and couldn’t get out of the pods until filming finished. She was later photographed crying and was reportedly in a state of distress when she and her companion were eventually discovered and allowed to disembark.

The incident took place on Thursday, August 29.

It seems the ride operators failed to realize the couple were still on the ride when Beyoncé and her dancers hopped on it.

It’s claimed Beyoncé was unaware of the situation.

The 31-year-old icon wore tighter-than-denim jeans teamed with gold jewelry, a baggy white vest top, with a black lace bra underneath. The singer can be seen in video footage below dancing up a storm in high-heeled platform boots.

Her still blonde hair at the shoot was reportedly curlier and slightly longer than the asymmetric bob she debuted at V. The star was joined by models Jourdan Dunn and Jessica White who are thought to be appearing in the music video.

Beyoncé resumes her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in Philadelphia on August 31 before kicking off the Latin America leg of her trek on September 8.
