Jamie-Lynn Sigler Welcomes Baby Boy, Picks Normal Name

Jamie-Lynn Sigler is a mom, and as she predicted her new little guy has a very normal name.

The 32-year-old actress gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday afternoon, naming him Beau. He is the first child for Sigler and her fiance, 24-year-old Cutter Dykstra.

“Both mommy and baby are great!” a representative for Sigler told Us Weekly.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Dykstra had gotten engaged in January, and within a month announced that they were pregnant. In an interview in April, Jamie implied that the baby came as a bit of a surprise.

“We definitely thought it was going to be a slow relationship process and possibly an engagement — I felt like it was coming — so the baby definitely threw us for a loop,” the actress said.

Jamie-Lynn didn’t give away her baby’s name before he was born, but in an interview in July promised that she wasn’t going to follow the example of other celebrities and pick a made-up name.

“It will be a NORMAL name. A real name,” she said.

In fact, it seems Jamie-Lynn and Cutter may not have picked the name Beau until the little guy was born.

“We have a couple of [baby] names we’re toying with. We’ll call him one name one week and one name another week,” she said at her shower in June. “I think we have our favorite, but you never know. We could change our minds when we meet him.”

Sigler seemed to take a laid-back and confident approach to her pregnancy. She was photographed showing off her baby bump in a small bikini, something she actually said she wouldn’t do otherwise.

“I would probably not be caught in a bikini otherwise, but when you’re pregnant, it is what it is! However your body’s carrying is how your body’s carrying,” she said.

Now that baby Beau has been born, Jamie-Lynn Sigler can put the bikini away for a while.
