‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Christian Grey Casting: Fans Might Be Disappointed

Fifty Shades Of Grey has become one of the most anticipated adaptations in recent years, and now we may know some more casting details, specifically who is not playing the main character, Christian Grey.

In a recent radio interview with Northwest Prime, producer Dana Brunetti debunked some of the rumors swirling around the Internet concerning the casting of the lead role.

Brunetti revealed that E.L. James might disappoint fans with her casting choice to play the kinky millionaire businessman Christian Grey.

The Stir broke down all the details concerning the hints that Brunetti gave during his interview with Lori and Michele.

First thing is the release date. According to Brunetti, everything’s still on track for an opening of August 1, 2014.

When it comes to the long-awaited casting of Christian Grey, Dana Brunetti said that fans may be disappointed with the final choice, but they must keep in mind how hard it is to cast a character created in a novel like Fifty Shades Of Grey.

So wait, no Henry Cavill or Matt Bomer as Christian Grey?

Without naming names, Brunetti explained that whoever they choose, not everyone is going to be happy and while they are paying attention to all the online chatter on the topic, many other considerations come into play when making a selection.

Not only looks are taken into account, but actors are busy and schedules may be in conflict with filming other movies they have already signed up for.

For example, Henry Cavill is getting ready for The Man From U.N.C.L.E and early next year he will begin filming the sequel to Man Of Steel.

One of the biggest things for producers and James is to find a couple that has chemistry, which is kind of crucial in a story like Fifty Shades Of Grey. So the waiting continues while they search for the perfect Christian Grey… as long as it’s not Ben Affleck.
