iPhone 5s Release Date Set For September [Report]

The new iPhone 5s hasn’t officially been unveiled yet but there is plenty of (speculative) information out there about Apple’s latest phone.

New reports point to an unveiling date of September 10. Apple is expected to hold an event during the second week of September to showcase the new iPhone 5S. The phone is expected to be released a few days later on September 20.

Apple hasn’t confirmed the release date yet and there probably won’t be too much “official information” until the unveiling on September 10. But there are plenty of credible rumors floating around that can give Apple fans a sense of what to expect.

According to CNet, the iPhone 5s will have a better camera. Rumor has it that the camera will have a larger f/2.0 aperture which means that more light will be able to get through and improve image quality.

The biggest change to the new phone will be the fingerprint scanner. Apple is expected to introduce a new form of security that will make it easier for iPhone 5s owners to activate their device as well as make electronic payments and access the cloud.

Apple is also reportedly releasing a gold iPhone. The new phones typically come in white or black but Apple will reportedly release a “champagne” color for the iPhone 5s.
