Kellan Lutz Releases Spring Collection

Twilight’s Kellan Lutz wasn’t on the red carpet this weekend, but the man who plays Emmett Cullen was still in launch mode.

Kellan Lutz is 28, and the actor is also multi-talented — unveiling a new fashion collection with Abbot + Main over the weekend in Vegas.

Lutz’s pre-spring collection for 2014 was shown off at fashion trade event MAGIC, and the star said Monday that working on apparel was a good thing, as it’s “great to find something outside of acting.”

The once men’s only line is now predominantly geared towards women — with hoodies and bottoms clocking in at under $100. Abbot + Main has been increasing in visibility since its original 2011 launch, and is named after an intersection in Lutz’s old neighborhood in Venice Beach.

Unlike other California themed casual brands, however, you won’t find a prominent logo on Kellan Lutz’s creations — the AP says:

“Initially just for men, two-thirds of the collection is now for women. There’s a peach-colored, long-sleeved sweater of translucent hacci fabric; a draping tank top in matte gray. Meant for layering, prints and logos are nowhere to be found… Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom carry the line. Pants retail for $91, while hoodies go for $98.”

Kellan is still acting though — the star has upcoming roles in films like The Expendables 3 in addition to his fashion mogul sideline.

While Twilight creator Stephenie Meyer recently said she’s “so over it… it’s not a happy place to be,” Lutz has a different take on Twilight.

The actor with a fashion side-gig says that the role will always hold meaning for him:

“I’m so thankful for everything that movie’s done for me… Twilight gave me a name.”

Are you impressed by Kellan Lutz’s fashion prowess, or do you prefer him showing fang?
