WWE SummerSlam: Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton Walk Away Victorious

Brock Lesnar managed to beat CM Punk last night at WWE SummerSlam but he wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help of Paul Heyman.

Heyman was a constant distraction for Punk. He taunted, he blocked chairs, he distracted and he ultimately cost Punk the match.

After a couple of two counts it looked like Punk was finally going to get the upper hand. Lesnar nearly got Punk with the F5 but Punk was able to counter with a DDT. Punk may have have been able to end the match there but he decided to try and take care of Heyman first.

Punk put a vice lock on Heyman and while his back was turned Lesnar got up with a chair and crashed it across CM Punk’s head.

Then it was a simple 1, 2, 3 and Brock Lesnar walked away as the victor at 2013 WWE SummerSlam champ.

Brock Lesnar and CM Punk were the most talked about match last night but it wasn’t the only surprise at SummerSlam. The main event between Daniel Bryan and John Cena had an unexpected victory: Randy Orton.

The Bloody Elbow reports that Bryan pinned Cena with a flying knee to win his first WWE Title. The win was short-lived, however, as he soon lost the title to Orton.

Bryan was celebrating in the ring when Orton walked down the runway to challenge the new champion. Orton didn’t have to do too much work, however, as Triple H, who was reffing the match, delivered his signature Pedigree and allowed Orton to pin the new champ.
