If you’ve already purchased all of the Twilight movies on Blu-ray, then prepare to become extremely irritated. The folks at Summit Entertainment are unleashing a brand new box set later this year.
Twlight Forever: The Complete Saga is a massive 10-disc set that features all of the films in the franchise plus a slew of bonus content. If you haven’t made the jump to high-definition just yet, then you can grab the collection on DVD as well.
In an effort to keep all of the fans happy, both Team Edward and Team Jacob are represented in the upcoming set. To sweeten the deal even more, Summit Entertainment is placing the discs inside a photo album packed with Twilight-oriented images.
Twilight Forever also boasts a robust collection of extras and behind-the-scenes featurettes. By the time you’re finished watching everything the special edition has to offer, you should know single detail about the franchise and how it was brought to life. You will be exhausted.
In an effort to capitalize on the holiday season, Summit will drop the Twilight: Forever onto retail shelves on November 5. This means the collection will surely find its way onto countless shopping lists. The Blu-ray edition will cost you $74.99, while the DVD set carries a price tag of $64.98.
As any collector will tell you, this special edition was inevitable. After the final Harry Potter arrived on home video, Warner Bros. put together a collection that tempted many of us to buy the movies all over again. Fortunately for this writer’s wallet, the temptation was resisted.
Twilight generated a whopping $3.3 billion during its entire theatrical run. This healthy total suggests there’s definitely a market for this kind of special edition collection.
