Adam Arkin’s Wife Files For Divorce, Couple Married 15 Years
Actor Adam Arkin’s wife has filed for divorce, effectively ending 15 years of marriage.
TMZ reports that Phyllis Lyons has filed divorce documents with the L.A. County Superior Court, singing the familiar tune of irreconcilable differences.
They say it was very recent, too. The couple got married in 1998 and only separated Monday. The couple have an 8-year-old son together, named Emmett Arthur. She has asked for the couple to share joint custody of their son.
Details are pretty scarce, but we do know that Lyons wants to prevent the court from awarding Arkin spousal support. His rep had no comment.
Arkin is an award-winning TV and film actor, most recently recognizable for his role as white supremacist villain Ethan Zobelle in the FX biker drama Sons of Anarchy.
His film appearances include a supporting role in the 2005 romantic comedy Hitch and in the 1998 horror film Halloween H20: 20 Years Later.
Prior to his marriage to Lyons, Adam Arkin was married to a woman named Linda. They divorced in the 90’s but have a daughter named Molly together.
Fun fact: Arkin is the son of actor/director/writer/everything Alan Arkin from Argo and Little Miss Sunshine. He is Alan’s eldest son from his first marriage to his first wife, Jeremy Yaffe. The couple had another child named Matthew before divorcing in 1961. Matthew Arkin is also an actor.
