Four Dead, Four Injured In Dallas Shooting
UPDATE – A Dallas shooting spree left four people dead and four others injured after a man opened fire in two homes.
The Inquisitr reported earlier today on the shooting that happened late Wednesday night.
According to the report, the incident occured when the shooter entered his ex-girlfriend’s house and shot four people.
It was at that time he discovered his ex-girlfriend wasn’t in the home and went to another location and shot another four people.
ABC News reported that the suspect has been identified as Erbie Bowser, 44. He is a member of the Dallas Mavericks all-male dance squad.
Bowser is currently being held by police in DeSoto, Texas, about 10 miles from Dallas.
Police say the shooting began when two people where killed and two wounded after gunshots were reported in a Dallas home Wednesday around 10:30 pm.
Police then say that Bowser then traveled to DeSoto, where he allegedly detonated an explosive device and opened fire, this time killing two more people and injuring two boys, ages 11 and 13.
According to CBS News, neighbors of the DeSoto home described the loud boom from the explosive device:
“We thought it was coming from upstairs because the kids are always upstairs making noise,” said Tommy Johnson. “I went up and asked, ‘Did y’all hear anything?’ and one of my daughters said it came from outside, so I peeped out the front, and that’s when I saw a bunch of officers walking down the sidewalk about 10 houses up.”
Police told ABC News that they could not confirm the cause of the explosion or the type of device used until an investigation is completed.
The report continued on to say that family members identified three of the victims to ABC News affiliate, WFAA-TV.
“Toya Smith, 43, and her daughter Tasmia Allen, 17, were killed, according to family. Smith’s 14-year-old son Storm Malone was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.”
Smith was identified as the suspect’s former girlfriend.
Erbie Bowser has not yet appeared in court to face his charges having to do with the Dallas Shooting rampage.
