Lea Michele Is Helping ‘Glee’ Writers Address Cory Monteith’s Death

Lea Michele, the girlfriend of the late Glee star Cory Monteith is helping the show’s writers address his death.

The actress is heartbroken over the loss of her love after a July 13 overdose of alcohol and heroin killed him in his Vancouver, Canada hotel.

Michele, 26, offered her input to creator Ryan Murphy who is charged with writing the October 10 episode in which Monteith’s character Finn will be written off.

Producers said that they would address drug and alcohol abuse in the emotional farewell episode, but that Finn doesn’t necessarily die of an overdose.

The episode will have the show’s stars address Monteith’s death and the consequences of illegal drugs abuse.

A source tells Us Weekly that Lea wants to warn people that their actions can have dangerous results, she wants the episode to reflect the truth.

Lea Michele has been spending time away from the spotlight at Glee guest star’s Kate Hudson’s Los Angeles home, while she filmed in London.

The actress took to Twitter on the day she returned to the set of Glee to film Season 5.

“First day of glee today…And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I’ve missed her so much?”

She also talked the song she wrote for the show about Cory and about how beautiful the song is,

“Couldn’t have picked a more beautiful & perfect song to start the year with.”

Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly said on August 1 that the third episode will deal with the Finn Hudson character being written out from the show and that episode will deal directly with the incidents involved in Cory’s passing and with the drug abuse in particular.”

Lea Michele and the rest of the cast of Glee returns for Season 5 on September 26 on Fox.
