Sylvester Stallone Slams Bruce Willis On Twitter

Sylvester Stallone slammed Bruce Willis on Twitter. Stallone first announced that Harrison Ford will replace Willis in The Expendables 3. He then followed up with an attack on Willis’ work ethic.

Stallone called Willis’ replacement “great news,” and stated that he has “been waiting for this.” In the next Tweet, Stallone states “greedy and lazy… a sure formula for career failure.”

As reported by the Huffington Post, Stallone’s representatives confirmed that the Tweet was in reference to Bruce Willis. However, they did not offer any further comment about the animosity.

The Expendables 3 will begin production later this month. In addition to Stallone and Willis, the cast will include Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, and Milla Jovovich. Mel Gibson is also rumored to be included in the star-studded cast.

Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis worked together on the first two Expendables films. The announcement that Willis will not return for the third movie suggests an ongoing conflict.

Stallone gained worldwide recognition with his starring role in the film Rocky. Also starring in the five sequels, Stallone was praised by audiences and critics alike.

With the release of the Rambo films, Stallone became a cultural icon. As reported by IMDB, he has appeared in numerous award-winning films, including Tango & Cash, Demolition Man, and Cop Land. He can also be heard in the animated films Antz and Zookeeper.

Sylvester Stallone was nominated for two Oscar Awards. In 1997 he won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. In 2010 he won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hollywood Film Festival.

In contrast, Stallone won the Razzie Award in 2000 for Worst Actor of the Century.

Despite any criticism of his work, Stallone continues to be cast in action films, where he often portrays a hero.

As production for The Expendables 3 is set to begin, Sylvester Stallone could not contain his criticism of Bruce Willis’ work ethic. Willis has yet to respond to the comments.

The Expendables 3 will premier November 15, 2014.
