Ariana Grande Pranks Fans With Fake Album Art, Brother Posts Sneak Peek [Video]

Ariana Grande is having fun behind the scenes of her Yours Truly debut album. And she’s using Twitter and YouTube to make sure everybody knows about it.

This week she pranked Twitter followers with fake cover art. At the same time her brother Frankie Grande released over five minutes of sneak peek video footage of her listening sessions.

Want to watch Ariana Grande? Just hit that button.

The 20-year-old Sam & Cat star looks energetic on the set — even if her crew appears to spend a lot of time rolling around on their backs on the floor. Heh.

In late July Ariana Grande shipped her new single Baby I to iTunes and YouTube. Give Baby I a listen right here.

The social media savvy Grande has now apparently changed the name of the debut album from Daydreamin’ to Yours Truly.

And Ariana Grande let it be known that the cover art was going through some changes too.

If Baby I led you to expect a sweet pink version of the innocent-looking child star, we’ve got news. Grande can do all that on a bed of rose petals.

Here’s the first announcement of the new Yours Truly cover art posted from Ariana Grande’s Twitter account:

My debut album Yours Truly will be available for preorder next week & released September 3rd.

And here’s another try:

Some fans loved it and said, “Awwwww” and all that good happy crappy.

But other fans smelled a rat. Here’s one of the fan covers created in response:

My own fan base trying to prank me huh I saw that trend.. Well we can play this game we can play all day if you want

Eventually she did stop kidding around long enough to post the real artwork. At least I think she did.

At the time of writing, here’s the official album artwork for Ariana Grande’s Yours Truly:

Ariana Grande’s debut album Yours Truly hits the shelves on September 3.
