Bieber Bus Stopped At Border; Marijuana Found By Customs

Justin Bieber’s bus, which was making its way through the United States border with Canada, was stopped on Sunday by Customs and Border officials. The tour bus was making its way to Michigan.

Marijuana and other drug related paraphernalia were seized by the officials from the Bieber bus, even though the young superstar himself was not present on the bus at the time.

Justin Bieber performed on Sunday at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena in what was reported to be a completely sold out show.

It was reported that the tour bus was searched extensively after special drug-sniffing dogs smelt illegal drugs on it.

Ken Hammond, Chief Customs and Border Protection Officer, told E! News:

“During the secondary inspection, a K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs and a subsequent search of the bus revealed marijuana and drug accessories. Justin Bieber was not on the bus.”

He continued: “Officers seized the marijuana and issued a penalty to the driver. The bus and passengers were released without further incident.”

It doesn’t appear that driver, or the people on the bus at the time, will be prosecuted. No further charges are to be brought by the authorities.

Are you happy that Justin Bieber wasn’t on the bus when it was seized and checked for drugs by border authorities?

What implications would there have been, do you think, if Justin was on the bus? And do you think it should be okay for the people on the Bieber tour buses to smoke marijuana as is legal in some states? Share your comments in the feed below.
