Taylor Swift surprised her audience at her Red Tour stop in Foxborough, Massachusetts, when Carly Simon joined her on stage to sing her greatest hit,”You’re So Vain”.
Swift teased her fans in the Gillette Stadium by announcing: “Before I bring out my special guest, I have this question that I’ve always, always had…..I think a lot of you have probably had this question too, always wondered what the answer is. Who is this song, ‘You’re So Vain’ by Carly Simon, written about?”
But what was the answer? She indicated that Simon had told her the secret , but she wasn’t about to pass it on. For the record, guesses about the subject of the song have ranged from Warren Beatty to David Geffen to Cat Stevens, amongst others.
Later, Swift tweeted,”Got to sing ‘You’re So Vain’ with Carly Simon at Gillette Stadium tonight!!!!!…..Unreal. I could not possibly look up to her more.”
