‘Insidious: Chapter 2’ International Trailer Arrives Online [Video]

The international trailer for Insidious: Chapter 2 has arrived online.

If you’re still having trouble falling asleep after watching The Conjuring, then you may not want to check out the latest offering from James Wan. The guy really knows how to generate serious scares, and his latest cinematic offering doesn’t appear to pull any spectral punches.

Insidious: Chapter 2 is the follow-up to Wan’s acclaimed 2010 horror flick Insidious. The film brings back Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson, the latter of whom starred as Ed Warren in The Conjuring.

The Lambert family is staying with relatives while they attempt to put their life back in order. As you can see from the clip embedded above, it doesn’t take long for things to get creepy all over again.

In addition to Wilson and Byrne, Insidious: Chapter 2 also features Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, Barbara Hershey, Danielle Bisutti, Michael James Grise, and Lindsay Seim. The film is presently slated to hit theaters in just a little over a month.

Wan is still riding the success of his box office hit The Conjuring. The intensely creepy $20 million effort has proved to be quite popular with moviegoers looking for something a little scarier than what your typical superhero flick has to offer.

As of this writing, the movie has generated an impressive $83 million during its domestic run. With some help from foreign audiences, The Conjuring’s worldwide total is presently perched at $95.9 million. Considering the film is rated R, this is a huge accomplishment.

Although he’s made his mark as a horror director, James Wan will reportedly shift gears for his next endeavor. The filmmaker has been tapped by Universal Pictures to deliver Fast and Furious 7. After spending several years on the franchise, Justin Lin decided to take a break from blowing things up.
