It’s been a while since the music industry has heard from the platform-wearing artist known as Lady Gaga . We recently learned that’s all about to change. Gaga, or Mother Monster, depending on what you like to call her, has revealed that her fourth studio album ARTPOP will be released in November.
While November seems like an enormous time to wait for a follow-up to her 2011 Born This Way, fans of the performer won’t have that long to wait for a little taste of what ARTPOP sounds like. Lady Gaga revealed that the single, ARTPOP will debut on August 19.
Since Gaga announced this news, fans have been very excited about the prospects of a new sound from Lady Gaga. However, that said, Gaga isn’t exactly thrilled about unleashing her new material to the world. Taking the “my work is my baby” approach, Gaga wrote on her site Little Monsters:
“‘ARTPOP’ as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. It’s a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. But all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. I’m just ready to fight. Start the music.”
This announcement was one of the few that was made following her emergency hip surgery, which she had done in February due to a severe tear from constant touring.
Recently Gaga has undergone a change in her appearance, which may or may not be related to a new era for Gaga. The singer has dyed her hair back to her original color, and shed the platinum blonde locks. Instead Gaga had bleached her eyebrows, shaved the back of her head, and just got her septum pierced.
