‘Veronica Mars’ Sneak Peek Footage From 2014 Movie Released At Comic-Con 2013 [Video]

The Veronica Mars official sneak peek footage from the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 has been released. The new Veronica Mars video was first presented Friday at the panel with Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, and other cast members. Now you can hit that button and see the footage for yourself even if you weren’t able to attend Comic-Con.

The Inquisitr previously reported on the Veronica Mars panel discussion where director Rob Thomas revealed that he wanted a James Bond style franchise for Kristen Bell and Veronica Mars. You can get a full report on the Comic-Con 2013 panel by clicking right here.

But the short version is that Veronica Mars is now ten years older, working as a New York City lawyer and pondering beverages with names like the Beast With Two Backs.

The girl detective Rob Thomas has compared to Nancy Drew is now a grown woman that he’s comparing to James Bond. Interesting.

And Kristen Bell herself isn’t shying away from the comparison. If anything, she has a few supersized franchise fantasies herself.

In an indepth interview Saturday with CNN, the star said:

“This [Veronica Mars] could be my whole life. And by the way, what a lucky life it would be if it were. There’s no formula for it, because it just has never been done before. Except — and I’m just throwing it out there — Star Trek did it. They did a TV show and then nine movies.”

Bell also noted that there are some legal tie-ups with doing more Veronica Mars TV because she’s currently the star of House of Lies. But she said that they’re exploring their Netflix options in addition to the plans for making a series of Veronica Mars movies.

In the official Veronica Mars video I posted up top, you can see footage from the upcoming 2014 film at the beginning and toward the end of the under five-minute video. There’s also a footage from behind the scenes when Kristen Bell and others first realized that the Kickstarter project would come through for them to reboot the popular series.

So what do you think of the Veronica Mars sneak peek footage?
