Man Wrestles Shark On Nantucket Beach [Video]

A man from Nantucket did something that you can actually tell your kids about. Elliot Sudal caught and wrestled a shark off the coast of Maine this weekend.

Sudal said that he caught a couple of bluefish that had been bitten in half by something in the ocean. Sudal believed that it was a shark and decided that he would try to catch it.

The 24-year-old fisherman used a half bluefish as bait and tossed out into the ocean. A few minutes later he was wrestling a shark on the beach.

Sudal said: “I get back half a bluefish. It’s got the stereotypical shark bite out of it. I’ve been a fisherman my whole life… It’s almost like a drug — I got used to catching bigger and bigger fish.”

Sudal said that it took him about 45 minutes to reel in the 7 foot long, 200 pound shark. Sudal wrestled it up on shore and took a few pictures before releasing it back into the ocean.

Sudal said: “The crash part is you have to run into the water and grab it by the tail. It’s just like this epic battle between you and this sea beast. You cant go back to a little fish after that. Everything else is just bait.”

The 24-year-old said that he’s caught 100s of sharks in his life but most of those were caught in places like Florida.

Elliot Sudal is so good at shark wrestling let’s hope that he gets cast inSharknado 2.
