Mermaid Violates ‘No-Fin’ Policy At Fishhawk Ranch

Mermaids have absolutely no rights at the Fishhawk Ranch in Lithia, Florida. Eden Siren was recently told she is not allowed to wear her custom made silicon mermaid suit at the development’s public pools.

Eden, whose real name is Jenna Conti, brings a lot of joy to people who watch her swim. Neighbor Bob Abruszzese recently told My Fox Tampa Bay:

“It makes me feel amazing makes children smile makes adults smile, everybody happy, you don’t expect to see a mermaid at the pool. I’m a 48-year-old man and I get a big smile on my face seeing her swim.”

While residents haven’t voiced any disapproval directly to Jenna, the community board on Monday voted to ban her outfit from Fishhawk Ranch’s public pools.

According to the Community Development Districts directors, there is now a “no-fin” policy in all public pools.

Realizing the stupidity of the rule, Conti says:

“This can’t come flinging off in a pool like a swim fin, and it’s not made of a hard plastic.”

Despite ruling to ban her fin board, chair Terrie Morrison says:

“We love what’s she trying to do, be kind to children and do something good for the community. We love her intentions — it’s simply that it violates rules,”

Let’s forget the Fishhawk Ranch and its discriminatory mermaid practices for a moment. Eden says her ultimately goal is to swim underwater at the Florida Aquarium.

So why does Eden Siren swim among us mere humans at Fishkawk Ranch? She says of the fun she has:

“We just wanted to show some magic here in Fishhawk, that’s all.”

Here’s a video from YouTube that shows Eden Siren in all of her mermaid swimming glory:

Do you think the Fishhawk Ranch board went too far in banning Eden Siren and her mermaid outfit from public pools?
