85-Foot Trapeze Fall Caught On Tape [Video]

From the archive: published Apr 19, 2013, 13 years ago. Details may have changed since.

Every job has its dangers. From the slow creep of typing hand cramps, to an 85-foot trapeze fall, we all put our life on the line when we go to work.

OK, so some jobs are more dangerous than others.

A Kenyan trapeze artist was performing at a circus in Moscow last month when he slipped and fell 85 feet to the ground. There was a safety net at the circus but the trapeze artist broke through the net and fell to the ground.

According to the Gawker, the acrobat was injured during the fall but is expected to make a full recover.

The description of the YouTube video reads: “A Kenyan trapeze artist who fell to the ground from a height of 85 feet while performing at the Moscow circus last month says he is healing and will eventually return to work.”

The extent of the acrobat’s injuries were not released and it’s unclear how long it will be until the trapeze artist “eventually” returns to the circus. For now, let’s just be thankful that they survived the 85-foot fall.

Here’s the video.
