Twinkies Poised To Make Triumphant Return Next Week
Twinkies are currently poised to make their triumphant return to store shelves next week. Fans of the delicious treat can begin the hoarding process all over again on Monday (July 15).
Although many thought the classic Hostess dessert was long gone, Twinkies are finally on their way back to unhappy bellies all across the nation. You can find some Twitter reactions to the news embedded below. Needless to say, people are very excited about snack’s return.
As previous reported by The Inquisitr, Twinkies will have a much longer shelf life this time around. Instead of only hanging around for 26 days, the new and improved versions can stick around for 45 days.
A few retailers who peddle the treat to the masses are requesting that Hostess freeze the product before shipping. This will allow supermarkets, convenience stores, and other locations to date Twinkies for freshness in-store. However, not every retailer intends to utilize this process.
If you’re the sort of individual who enjoys watching the seconds of your life tick by, then you can stare longingly at the Hostess countdown clock on the company’s official website.
“When it reads septuple zeros, the greatest treats the world has ever know will triumphantly return. Twinkies, CupCakes and other American snack icons that people decided they just couldn’t live without,” Hostess explains.
Twinkies fanatics famously freaked out when Hostess closed its doors last year. Fearing the treats would never return, many folks shelled out a considerable amount of money to purchased unopened boxes of the product on eBay. Some of these people are probably feeling a little foolish right now.
You can sample some of the excitement by checking out the Twitter reactions below.

The shelf life of Twinkies has been increased to 45 days. That means a Twinkie will last longer the Lone Ranger movie.

Oh good, Hostess foods are coming back, which means the woman that elbowed me in the face last year over Twinkies did so for no good reason.
