Susan Boyle wants a boyfriend and possibly a husband after she enjoyed an on set kiss with her character’s husband in her upcoming movie debut, The Christmas Candle.
Boyle has never had a boyfriend, but the singer and her co-star, James Cosmos, kissed for a scene in the movie, which sees them play husband and wife, and this seems to have piqued her interest in claiming her own boyfriend.
Boyle stated, “I want to find a man but it’s hard with all the travelling I do. I really want to start going on dates and I’ve asked my friends to set me up with a good man — if they can find one. I’d like to settle down one day.”
Discussing the opportunity to at least play someone’s wife, Boyle remarked, “I have my very first husband, which is very exciting. It’s been a long wait. I had to kiss him, too, as we had a kissing scene. It was my first on-screen kiss. It was lovely. I didn’t know about the kissing scene when I signed up, but I wasn’t complaining.”
Boyle is set to partake in a new tour, which is especially poignant as it will be her first performances since the death of her brother, James, in May. “I’d like to think he’s going to be behind me, as with my sister and mother and father.”
Despite these worries the singer stated, “I’m very excited, it’s long overdue. I’ve been on at my manager for some time to let me go live. He kept telling me, ‘You’re not ready yet,’ but this time he feels I am. It’s something you gradually get yourself accustomed to. I’ve only been doing this for four years. You just can’t dive in at the deep end. These things have to be done in a special way. It’s sensible, really.”
