Marie Osmond Prepares To Welcome Her First Grandchild
Marie Osmond is preparing to welcome her first grandchild. The 53-year-old entertainer made the announcement during an appearance as guest host on The Talk.
Osmond’s son Stephen James Craig chose a creative way to let his mom know she as going to be a grandmother. Stephen had just turned 30, and his family gathered to celebrate the occasion. After blowing out the candles, Stephen turned to Marie and told her she was going to be a grandmother.
As reported by Yahoo News, Marie Osmond is thrilled to welcome her first grandchild. Following Osmond’s announcement, co-host Sharon Osbourne offered her congratulations, stating that being a grandmother is “the best… it’s a gift from God.”
Osbourne’s son Jack, and his wife Lisa welcomed their first child, Pearl, in April 2012.
Marie Osmond is a diverse entertainer, singer, actress, and businesswomen. She is best remembered for her partnership with her brother. Donny and Marie Osmond entertained audiences with their singing and humor throughout the late 1970s.
The brother and sister duo most recently resurrected their partnership, performing together in Las Vegas.
As reported by Biography.com, Marie has experienced her share of tragedy. In 2007, she and her husband separated, which began a period of personal crisis. In the following years Marie lost her father and then her son.
Despite periods of great personal loss, Marie Osmond has continued to move forward with her interests and career. She is involved in numerous charitable organizations including the Children’s Miracle Network.
Marie enjoys making crafts, and has developed a line of Marie Osmond Fine Porcelain Collector Dolls.
Osmond and her husband Stephen Craig remarried in May 2011, marking a new beginning for her relationship and her life.
Currently, Osmond hosts the Hallmark Channel Original talk show Marie.
Marie Osmond is known for her brilliant smile and diverse talent. She now has another reason to smile as she prepares to welcome her first grandchild. Osmond did not disclose when the baby is due.
