Wyclef Jean is reportedly producing Amanda Bynes’ upcoming single.
The troubled actress may have left Hollywood behind, but she’s still interested in pursuing a career within the entertainment industry. During a recent Twitter rant, the Easy A star mentioned she was interested in becoming a rapper. It would appear her dreams are starting to fall into place.
WKRQ reports Wyclef Jean is very interested in helping Amanda Bynes with her budding music career. In order to make that happen, he’s rumored to be producing her first single.
Before you get your hopes up, it’s worth noting that this information comes from anonymous sources who reported directly to Radar Online. Although the website occasionally gets stuff right, they also tend to get things wrong. Since nothing has been confirmed by either party, it’s best to approach these reports with a suspicious mind.
“Wyclef is the perfect producer for Amanda’s first single, because he isn’t only about making records. He’s a humanitarian and politician, so this will not be a typical album,” the nameless individual explained to the website.
The insider also stated the record label is interested in getting the songs produced and on the market while Amanda Bynes’ name is still fresh in everyone’s mind. In other words, the label is looking to capitalize on the attention her frequent Twitter tirades have generated over the past few months.
“This is something very special. Wyclef is familiar with Amanda’s talent and sound, so it only makes sense to have her sit down with someone of his caliber,” the anonymous source continued.
The Inquisitr previously reported that Chinga Chang Records owner Daniel Herman has extended an offer to Amanda Bynes. Although the former Nickelodeon star has yet to accept, Herman remains confident she will end up signing on the dotted line.
“The fact that Amanda wants to do hip-hop music means that Chinga Chang label is the best place for her to do this, because of my past experience with bringing pop and legitimate hip-hop together,” he explained, adding that Bynes is much more “gangsta” than Drake.
What do you think about the rumors that Wyclef Jean will produce Amanda Bynes’ new single? Do you think her album will amount to more than a throwaway publicity stunt?
