Off the the bush league with you RIM because according to research firm Canalys the Apple iPhone has taken your place as the number two most popular smartphone. the news comes after the third quarter reports show that the iPhone has a nice chunk of the market at 17.3 percent and RIM behind at 15.2 percent. We wont embarrass Windows Mobile by telling everyone that they are below even that at 13.6 percent.
Granted with the upcoming releases of new RIM offerings this could change after the fourth quarter so all you iPhone lovers might want to grab the glory while you can. either way though Nokia’s Sybian based phones need not worry about the upstart iPhone getting to close since it has 46.6 percent share of the market.
