Sandra Bullock has revealed that she adopted a baby earlier this year, a now 3 1/2 month old boy she has named Louis Bardo Bullock.
Bullock, 45, originally began the adoption with her estranged husband Jesse James, 41. Bullock brought her son home in January, but aimed to keep the adoption secret until after the Oscars had blown over. Shortly after her Oscar win, however, James’ infidelity became public knowledge and Bullock stayed quiet while her marriage dissolved. Bullock now tells People that she is finalizing the adoption as a single parent.
On getting to know her son, Bullock says:
“He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way,” Bullock reveals exclusively in the new issue of PEOPLE, announcing that she is the proud mother of Louis Bardo Bullock, a 3½-month-old boy, born in New Orleans. “It’s like he’s always been a part of our lives.”
Bullock also disclosed to People that she has filed for divorce and that she’s “sad” and “scared.”
