Lindsey Vonn On Dating Tiger Woods: It’s Like Living In A Fishbowl
Lindsey Vonn didn’t know what she was getting into when she started dating Tiger Woods.
Vonn said that it has been a little bit of a shock living under the media microscope with her new boyfriend. Vonn likened dating Tiger Woods to “living in a fishbowl” and said that it’s hard for her to be herself with all of the cameras around.
Vonn said: “I can be normal by myself; no one notices me. But wherever he’s around, we’re living in a fishbowl. I didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into. It’s weird. But it’s just something I have to deal with. He has his job, and I have mine. I just have to get used to it.”
Vonn is currently at the Merion Golf Club watching Tiger compete at the U.S. Open. The Olympic skier said that she likes watching Tiger play but that she tries not to give him too much advice on his swing.
Vonn said: “I don’t give him a lot of feedback about his golf game. We talk golf after his golf rounds, but mostly I listen. We really are normal in that way. Lots of people go home and talk to their wife or husband about their job. That’s what we do.”
Tiger may be one of the most famous athletes in the world but Vonn is quite accomplished in her own right. She has a pair of Olympic medals, a handful of World Championship medals, and is currently training for the Olympics next year in Sochi, Russia.
Vonn said: “Some people seem to forget that I’m not just Tiger’s girlfriend … I’m actually a successful athlete. I’m Lindsey. I have my own career and my own life.”
