Maksim Chmerkovskiy Seemed More Than ‘Just Friends’ With Kate Upton, Witnesses Said

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and model Kate Upton say they are just friends, but witnesses who caught the couple out together over the weekend seem to tell a different story.

The couple reportedly went out together over the weekend, dining at Scalinatella in New York City’s Upper East Side. The Dancing With the Stars and Upton denied that they are an item, however, insisting that they are just “good friends.”

A source close to the couple said the date was arranged, and there is not a love connection. At least not yet.

“It’s very new,” a source told Us Weekly. “They were set up through friends. They just started dating.”

Sources at the restaurant say they seemed more than friends, however. Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kate Upton were reportedly seen holding hands and looked “canoodly” during the meal, an onlooker said.

It could be that conflicting schedules are keeping them from becoming a couple. Upton has been busy filmingThe Other Woman, an obligation that kept her from going to prom with brave teen Jake Davidson, who asked her to the dance on a popular YouTube video.

Chmerkovisky however may have more time for dating now that he has leftDancing With the Stars.

With no resolution to the conflicting reports over whether Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kate Upton are dating, fans will probably have to wait for another date to find out what’s going on.
