‘Vampire Mom’ Julia Caples Drinks Two Liters Of Human Blood A Day

Meet Julia Caples, a real-life vampire who survives on two liters of human blood each day. The so-called “Vampire Mom” is a mother or two who seeks willing donors who provide her with the human blood she needs to get through her busy day.

The 45-year-old “Vampire Mom” says that she has been drinking blood for over 30 years, and that she actively “hunts” for willing “donors” to provide her with blood. These “donors” are fellow vampire fans who allow Julia to drink their blood at her local occult oddities store.

Not unlike the infamous Elizabeth Bathory, Caples believes that drinking blood from others keeps her feeling young, vigorous and ageless.

“When I feed off of a person and drink their blood I feel stronger and healthier,” she said. “I know scientifically there’s not a lot nutrition in blood, but maybe there’s some value we haven’t discovered yet. I feel more beautiful than any other time when I’m regularly drinking.”

She admits to having drunk a half-a-gallon a month at one point.

Caples ex-husband used to drink blood as well, but gave up when they two had children. Their son, Alexi, is beginning to suspect that his mother is really a vampire.

“We have all these decorations at home like coffins and dolls. I’m starting to think she’s a vampire,” he said.

Interestingly, the couple’s daughter, Ariel, doesn’t think that drinking blood is a good idea. “I don’t agree with it,” she said.

Julia Caples isn’t the only real-life vampire, either. There’s a huge subculture of them in New York, where they meet in nightclubs and drink from each other. What do you think of the “Vampire Mom?” You can see pictures of her, including one of her actually drinking from another person, here.
