Woman Literally Lives On Sunlight, Water, And Air [Video]

Seattle, WA – Navenna Shine has made a rather unconventional diet decision. She has given up food for a period of four to six months to subsist exclusively on sunshine, water, and air.

The reason? To see if the human body can live on sunlight, of course.

Shine is the founder of Living on Light and says on her website that she decided to perform the experiment after hearing of a couple of Yogis who claimed to be able to live on light alone. Some observe practices like gaining energy and sustenance through air. Shine wants to show that it’s possible.

She admits it will be difficult but thinks her body can be trained to live without food. “The only way to prove it is by doing it,” Shine said.

According to her Facebook page, Shine has already licked about 30 days without food and has lost over 20 pounds since she started her experiment. She said that the body has used up all of its fat stores and is now looking for other sources of energy.

She hopes that now it will turn to sunlight and air for sustenance.

“I have the feeling that my body has reached a point where it has used up all its stored fats and is now looking around for what next to consume,” Shine said. “I suspect this might be the point where it decides either to find and hook into the source where it is able to live on Light, or consume the body for sustenance. I am doing all I can thorough consciousness to open up the space for ‘Living on Light.’ We shall see.”
