Marvel Chief Kevin Feige Provides Updates On ‘Hulk’, ‘Doctor Strange,’ and ‘Inhumans’

The President of Production at Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has been discussing the future films at the company.

Marvel’s third cinematic phase is set to begin with Edgar Wright’s, Ant-Man, in November, 2015, but now he has been talking about Doctor Strange, The Runaways, Inhumans, and the third Hulk film.

Feige told Entertainment Weekly about a future Hulk film, “What we’re excited about exploring and expanding is Mark [Ruffalo], and Banner’s not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of the Hulk is his interaction with humans. Mark could stand in his own movie. … We’re talking about it. We’re excited to sit down and go, ‘What is a stand-alone Hulk movie?'”

Feige also discussed the possibility of Inhumans, revealing that there could be problems with the production, stating, “Inhumans is cool, they’re really great characters… All the craziness that comes with Inhumans, we’ve done in the other movies already. But this would have some of the social drama that we haven’t really done yet. X-Men, obviously, has been touching on that stuff for a while.”

Doctor Strange seems like Feige’s passion project, with the Marvel head-honcho remarking, “I would love Strange to be a part of that only because he’s a great character. He’s a great standalone character. He’s got a great origin story, for the most part.”

He then added, “And that world of pure magic, we haven’t done yet. There’s a whole supernatural/magic alternate dimension going on in the Marvel comics that we haven’t ever touched on. So I think that’s exciting.”

Feige then conceded that there might not be enough time to make all of the Marvel films that they would like to, stating, “So Punisher, Ghost Rider, … Blade, all those characters are back. They all have potential, but I think we need to find the right time.”
