Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s Father Speaks To Press, Son Is An ‘Angel’

The father of suspected Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and deceased suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev reportedly spoke to AP sources from Russia, expressing shock that his sons have been implicated in the Boston Marathon bombing.

Anzor Tsarnaev talked to reporters from a home in Makhachkala, Russia on Friday as the manhunt in Watertown unfolded.

While Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remains on the run in a rapidly decreasing perimeter, father Anzor describes a different young man.

Via telephone this morning, the elder Tsarnaev said:

“My son is a true angel … Dzhokhar is a second-year medical student in the U.S. He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here.”

As the Tsarnaev suspects’ father speaks out, a young man who claims to be a former classmate of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev posted publicly to Facebook to describe his experiences with the suspected bomber before the attacks.

Larry Aaronson said on the social network:

“OK OK OK: NOW I GOT TO SAY THIS IS TOTALLY F***ING SURREAL. I know this kid Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Not only did he graduate only last year from CRLS!!!!– I took countless photographs of him on the wrestling team.”

Aaronson continues:

“And friends, here is the kicker. ( You know how they say to reporters when ask did you know the perpetrator?: ‘I knew this kid. He could not possibly have done this. He could not have been a sweeter more gracious young man.’ ”

He adds:

“I cannot believe he was capable of such a heinous crime and of so many murders. Truth be told he came from the war zone deep inside Chechnya like about 5 or 6 years ago…with his entire family. Im learning that his older brother is the one shot dead last night. The family lives like three houses down from me on Norfolk Street [] and now our whole block is cordoned off with yellow tape and we are living in a crime scene.”

Tsarnaev’s former classmate concludes:

“When I was quoting that the war has come home yesterday to everyone, I did not mean it like this!!!!!! As the old hebrew expression goes. You got to be f***ing kidding me… (BUT THEY ARE NOT)”

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remains at large as SWAT teams surround Watertown homes.
