Lena Heady may play a queen from one of the wealthiest families of the Seven Kingdoms in Game Of Thrones but she’s not nearly as wealthy in real life. The actress says that she is broke and only has about $5 in her bank account.
According to NJ.com , Headey, who split from her husband Peter Loughran last year, is currently engaged in a legal battle over a $46,000 tax refund from 2011.
While Headey and Loughran fight over the money, the actress has reportedly asked the court to grand her a $6,000 advance so that she can take care of her 2-year-old son. Headey said that if the court grants her request she would be willing to let Loughran take $6000 out of the communal funds as well.
US Magazine reports that the actress would like the remaining $34,000 to stay in a blocked account until a settlement is reached.
Headey claims that she is currently living off of credit cards and has less than $5 in the bank.
Headey and Loughran used to live in a $1.8 million home in Hollywood. After the divorce, they were forced to sell the home at a $500,000 loss.
The Inquisitr reported earlier that Headey and Loughran are also fighting over their 2-year-old son. The actress accused her former husband of putting their son in dangerous situations and said that she recently saw photos of him on Facebook posing with an AK-47.
Headey has been acting since the early 90s and has starred in big movies like 300. She currently plays Queen Cersei on Game Of Thrones.
