Arrested Development Coming To Netflix May 26!

Arrested Development is finally happening people.

It’s been years since Arrested Development disappeared from the airwaves, much to the consternation of fans everywhere. The show originally ran on Fox from 2003 to 2006, and despite critical acclaim and a rabid fan base, it was taken off the air.

But much like with Firefly, Arrested Development fans never really gave up campaigning for a reboot. And with the inclusion of the show on Netflix, demand only increased for an addendum to the Arrested Development canon.

For years, false starts and overblown rumors plagued the Arrested Development fandom, and everyone was constantly waiting for the real new set of shows added to the series to be announced.

Back in 2011, it was confirmed that Arrested Development would be returning … but to Netflix, not network TV. We knew that 2013 was when to expect the new episodes of Arrested Development, and today, fans got an update on when the show was finally coming back.

Netflix and Arrested Development hit up Twitter and Facebook early this morning, on a post that for the latter already has thousands of likes and shares on Facebook.

An updated Arrested Development cover photo is captioned:

“And with one announcement, millions of fans were vindicated. 5/26/13.”

And a status updated posted just an hour ago is nearing 50,000 likes, with a promo poster and the words:

“15 Episodes, May 26, only on Netflix. Try to contain yourself.”

Twitter posts were posted to Netflix’s accounts, too:

Are you excited for the long, long long long long awaited return of Arrested Development?
